Telehealth Services

Remote hearing care, from the comfort of your home

At Hearing Australia, we make it easier for every Australian to receive the hearing care they deserve. As part of that, we offer telehealth appointments so you can receive hearing care remotely, from the comfort of your own home.

What do you need?

A phone is all you need for a phone telehealth appointment however if you are doing a video appointment you will need a smartphone, tablet or computer with a video camera and access to the internet.

What can we help you with?

  • Attend follow up appointments
  • Complete your annual review
  • Get advice on your hearing aids
  • Review hearing aid fitting
  • Review and chat with one of our audiologist about your progress with hearing aids
  • Troubleshoot an issue you might have with your hearing aids
  • Tinnitus counselling and support
  • Get real time, remote care adjustments and support via our Hearing Australia app

We offer different types of telehealth appointments

Video telehealth appointment

Telehealth is often done via telephone and this can be challenging for some as people with hearing loss who rely on visual cues and lip reading to help support their hearing. We prefer to use video telehealth appointments for this reason. Video appointments do not require downloading a software or mobile application and can be accessed from any device with a camera. If you would like to test a video call, please click here.

Over the phone

Some of our clients may not have access to a smartphone or have reliable internet connection. Some also just prefer telephone appointments and that is fine too! Simply request for a phone appointment when booking in your telehealth appointment.

Through our Hearing Australia App

Receive real time, remote care adjustments and support via our Hearing Australia app between 9AM and 5PM weekdays. One of our audiologists will be able to remotely adjust your hearing aids to suit your needs. Find out more about the app or download here.
